We've Seen This Before is a campaign by Bend the Arc Jewish Action to mobilize American Jews to defeat Donald Trump.
We are a national movement of Jews and allies who are acting together to signal their commitment to stopping Donald Trump and his hateful agenda. By acting together as a national community and speaking from our deepest values, we will remind our fellow Americans of our nation’s core aspirations of inclusion, equity and democracy.
Since the fall of 2015, Bend the Arc Jewish Action has sounded the alarm about Donald Trump’s hateful anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, anti-woman, and violent agenda.
Trump has singled out Muslims and immigrants and blamed them for all of our nation’s troubles. He has threatened to register Muslim Americans, or stop them at the border. He plans to deport tens of thousands of immigrants who have been living peacefully in this country and contributed innumerably to our nation’s culture, economy and character. He has shown a casual and callous disregard for the truth and the freedom of the press. He has encouraged mob violence against those who do not support him politically. He has made veiled threats of official state violence.
We've pushed back — with petitions, with statements, and at rallies. At every stage Bend the Arc Jewish Action’s message was clear: Jews have seen this before. Many of our parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents fled to the United States to escape violence and discrimination from around the world. And when they arrived here, many of our ancestors who had escaped oppression saw some of those same horrors being visited on people of color in this country, and they acted. They said not again, not here.
